Zimmerman family member calls NAACP ‘racists’

treyvon

If there is a bandwagon to jump on, the NAACP will be there. Same thing with Al Sharpton and Jessee Jackson. Guilty until proven innocent is their ‘unspoken’ mantra. It appears that the NAACP is the “legal” version of reverse racism… Is there a NAAHP? (Hispanic)? Perhaps the Zimmerman family should seek one out. With only a portion of the facts available, I think its horrible that so many people, celebrities included, have jumped on the ‘Trayvon’ train for shameless publicity. Speaking of celebrities, what have Rosanne Barr and Spike Lee done in the last 20 years? These are two of the most irrelevant celbs someone could find…

In a letter obtained exclusively by The Daily Caller on Monday, a family member of George Zimmerman ripped Seminole County, Fla. NAACP president Turner Clayton for a rush to judgment in the Trayvon Martin case.

“It’s time for you to end the race issue in this matter and call for cooler heads to prevail,” the letter reads. “If something happens to George as a result of the race furor stirred up by this mischaracterization of George there will be blood on your hands as well as the rest of the racists that have rushed to judgment. You need to call off the dogs. Period. Publicly and swiftly.”

George, the letter adds, “has been called a racist and a bigot and there have been very few that have stood up for him.” The letter was addressed to Clayton at the NAACP’s national headquarters in Baltimore.

The family member, whose identity TheDC has confirmed but is withholding out of concern for the Zimmerman family’s safety, said George Zimmerman “has been found guilty” in the court of public opinion “until proven innocent,” adding that the details of what happened on Feb. 26 — the night Zimmerman shot Martin in what he claims was self-defense — “will not be disclosed until the police report is made public.”

Facebook Graffiti Artist Could be Worth $500 Million (video)

Choe

All of here at Minute14 are HUGE Stern Show fans and heard every minute of the Choe interview discussing his new found wealth… as I read this New York Times article all I could think was ‘Jealous much?’ He points out that had requested an interview several times and was declined, but goes on The Stern Show… Perhaps Nick should have dome better reporting instead of telling us what Howard spoke about. Tell us something that 10 million of us didn’t hear on Tuesday Good for Choe on making some good decisions on his business… well done! Oh, and one more thing… BABA BOOEY? BABA BOOEY! BABA BOOEY!

Last week Evelyn Rusli and I wrote about the people who are set to get rich from Facebook’s cominginitial public offering of stock. The most startling was David Choe, a graffiti artist who chose Facebook stock instead of cash when he spray-painted the first Facebook offices in 2005.

Although Mr. Choe declined several requests for an interview while I was reporting the story, he took to the airwaves on Tuesday as a guest on The Howard Stern Show to discuss his windfall. (Warning: the conversation, like Mr. Choe’s paintings, is very sexual descriptive.)

Mark Zuckerberg’s IPO Letter: Why Facebook Exists

Facebook

Like or dislike Zuckerberg, you need to admire the change he has brought to the world… all from a little room at Harvard and built on determination to what he believes in. Thank you Mark and look forward to the IPO

Facebook CEO and founder Mark Zuckerberg tucked a letter into the company’s filing for an initial public offering in which he explains the reason he created in 2004 what is now the world’s largest social networking site. The letter provides rare insight into Zuckerberg, who remains somewhat of an enigma despite the ubiquity of Facebook.

Here is the letter in full:

LETTER FROM MARK ZUCKERBERG

Facebook was not originally created to be a company. It was built to accomplish a social mission — to make the world more open and connected. We think it’s important that everyone who invests in Facebook understands what this mission means to us, how we make decisions and why we do the things we do. I will try to outline our approach in this letter.

At Facebook, we’re inspired by technologies that have revolutionized how people spread and consume information. We often talk about inventions like the printing press and the television — by simply making communication more efficient, they led to a complete transformation of many important parts of society. They gave more people a voice. They encouraged progress. They changed the way society was organized. They brought us closer together.

Today, our society has reached another tipping point. We live at a moment when the majority of people in the world have access to the internet or mobile phones — the raw tools necessary to start sharing what they’re thinking, feeling and doing with whomever they want. Facebook aspires to build the services that give people the power to share and help them once again transform many of our core institutions and industries.
